Onesixth Expeditions is the winner in LATA Achievement Awards  2024

This Monday, LATA announced the winners of the LATA Achievement Awards 2024 during the gala dinner at the renovated LATA Expo held at De Vere Beaumont Estate, Windsor.

The judges recognised that Onesixth Expeditions had worked quickly to secure B Corp certification, achieved in December 2023. They were also impressed with the initiative to give all customers a welcome kit made by a local NGO that works with vulnerable women.

Onesixth Expeditions was the winner in the SMALL DMC CATEGORY.

The judges commented “It was a pleasure to see the impressive work being done by LATA’s members in both the UK and across Latin America, and celebrate their successes at the LATA Achievement Awards. It’s inspiring to see the commitment so many members have to working together with the local communities and offering experiential travel that focuses on the positive impact of tourism.”

For us it is an honor to receive this award in recognition of our efforts to carry out sustainable and regenerative tourism in our destinations.

Danny Callaghan, CEO of LATA says, “I am delighted to bring back the LATA Achievement Awards to rightly celebrate and recognise the achievements of all our members, who work tirelessly to offer the best of travel to Latin America. It was a pleasure to present the awards last night, and wonderful to be able to do so in front of so many of our members as part of LATA Expo”.

The awards, overseen by Danny Callaghan, were judged by a panel of independent industry experts including Kate Kenward of Visit USA, Adrian Phillips from Bradt Travel Guides, Basia Kolosinska from C&M Recruitment and Kate McWilliams from LOTUS.

A small team, with a giant purpose.
